I fault neither Crowder for changing the lyric nor McMillan for allowing him to do so. After all, the song is not really about sloppy, wet kisses and the metaphor is not essential to the message of the lyric. It speaks of both the passion of God and the mess of humanity. What about you and your church? Are you singing this song? What lyric do you use?

Y ou know you are at a worship conference sponsored by David Crowder when a fog machine kicks in and gobo lights wash the stage in color while the Welcome Wagon sings an exquisitely spare version of "Hail to the Lord's Anointed. Presenters included folks like Louie Giglio and Francis Chan. Never heard of them? Mostly neither had I. I had, however, heard of Charlie Peacock and Matt Redman, second and third generation songwriters of contemporary worship music respectively.

How He Loves
As a result, we may not be aware of how precipitous the decline is. Here are the lyrics of a popular Christian worship song that you will hopefully never hear sung as a hymn in a Lutheran service - but I would not put money on it. This is where the trajectory leads once a church exchanges traditional hymnody and liturgy for the dark pottage of fads and fashions from outside of our tradition of rich biblical confession in song. Do not grow weary! Continue to fight the good fight!

McMillan wrote the song several years ago the day after his friend Stephen was killed in a car accident. Thanks for taking some time to chat. Congratulations on the success of the new album!

«I wish we saw more of his face and full body.»
«-BAMBI xoxo sublime angel love the way she moans.»
«DAMN, WHAT A LUCKY BASTARD HE IS..»
«Also the fact that you commented kinda speaks volumes about your insecurities.»
«Is that mole cancerous?»
